CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services

The CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services is a nationally-accredited qualification that may be used as a pathway qualification into community services work and may apply specifically to workers who design and deliver person-centred services to individuals and/or groups. Workers may provide support, advocacy or interventions to individual clients, groups or communities across a range of services. Work may take place in a range of community service, case work or case management contexts.

This qualification is available as a level IV traineeship for new or existing workers in WA. Mandatory fees are applicable although there is scope for these to be offset by employer incentives where eligible, please contact us for more detailed information.

Entry requirements:
There are no pre-requisites for entry into the CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services, the course is designed wherever possible to draw upon workplace experiences for both the learning and assessment activities.

Recommended units:
The Certificate IV in Community Services consists of fifteen units of competency, seven compulsory and eight electives.  A typical course includes the following units:

Core units:
CHCADV001: Facilitate the interests and rights of clients
CHCCCS004: Assess co-existing needs
CHCCOM002: Use communication skills to build relationships
CHCDIV001: Work with diverse people
CHCLEG001: Work legally and ethically
CHCPRP001: Develop and maintain networks and collaborative partnerships
HLTWHS003: Maintain work health and safety

CHCCCS006: Facilitate individual service planning and delivery
CHCCCS015: Provide individualised support
CHCCCS021: Respond to suspected abuse
CHCCSM005: Develop, facilitate and review all aspects of case management
CHCDIS007: Facilitate the empowerment of people with disability
CHCMGT005: Facilitate workplace debriefing and support processes
CHCPRP003: Reflect on and improve own professional practice
HLTWHS006: Manage personal stressors in the work environment
